I am a swim instructor and coach with competitive swimmers and my family spends a lot of time at the pool. I have several bags that either don’t hold enough or don’t hold up long enough.
This is a very sturdy bag with thick stiff cotton. At first I was disappointed that it didn’t seem deep enough to hold the towels, sunscreen and snacks we like, but the inside has a light cotton lining that will lift up and make the bag 1/3rd deeper. The lining has a ribbon tie that can be pulled to tighten or close the top. If you need a smaller bag there are two snaps on either side on the outside of the bag so you can pull it tighter closed at the bag opening and leave the liner inside. This makes for a very flexible bag.
The bottom is flat and when filled will stand up. There are no interior pockets but there are 3 open exterior pockets. There are two short and one long shoulder handle, sturdy and strongly attached.
